Nicole and Austin were married 8.11.2007 at Anthony’s. We did their engagement photos down in Savannah and formed a friendship so shooting their wedding was a lot of fun! There were so many fun details! Here are some of my favorites from the day.



We had SO much fun with the wine room where the girls got dressed.



We found wine bin #35… we love to take random pictures of things with 35 in them. This is my version…

And this is Ray’s version…

Apparently this is an exact replica of the groom’s truck. The only thing Nicole wanted was a picture of his face when he saw it.

We found this random little area of Anthony’s that I just LOVED. We took lots of pictures here…

They had a horse drawn carraige take them to their honeymoon suite…

Otherwise known as engagement photos.

We’ve had the opportunity to travel all over the country to do engagement pictures. I’ve only posted one set here (the ones on South Beach) so I thought I’d add some more while I’m busy editing some of these weddings we have.

Melinda + Aaron

We had never been to California before so we were really excited when Melinda and Aaron asked us to go to San Fransisco to do their shoot. We ended up going all over the city. We had the BEST tour guides… and we had a really fun day!









Alicia + Chris

We drove up to Pensylvannia for Alicia and Chris. I know some of you were wondering why we didn’t fly… we don’t really know ourselves. Anyway, we did their photos at Bushkill Falls. What an amazing place! Ray and Chris really got along because Chris is a pilot too… lots and lots to talk about!






Jessica + Jake

Jessica and Jake are getting married here but they live in Montgomery, Alabama. They took us to the Shakespeare Festival. It is the most beautiful location and now my favorite place for engagement pictures.

Dee + David

That brings us back to Georgia. We flew Dee and David down to Savannah for their session. David proposed to Dee in Savannah so it is a really special place to them. We had so much fun walking around the squares and finding neat places for pictures.

Simone + Ian

Now back to Atlanta! I just wanted to include Simone and Ian’s photos because it was such an adventure. Simone had heard that Virginia Highlands was a really artsy part of town but we had never done engagement pictures there so we decided to try it out. We found a lot of really cool buildings, alleys and pathways for pictures. We ended up at Atlantic Station and the 17th Street bridge because they wanted some city shots as well.

Brandy and Justin were married 6.23.2007 in Arkansas. Justin is Ray’s nephew so it was really cool to be able to play such a huge part at his wedding. Justin has always been a planner so we knew everything would be just perfect… and aside from a monsoon right when we got to the venue (which he couldn’t have stopped if he tried!)… it was! They had so many neat little details that really showed who they were.

Congratulations Brandy and Justin! We love you guys!

Suzanne and Todd were married 7.7.2007 at Wolf Mountain Vineyards in Dahlonega, Georgia. Poor Suzanne had the worst luck right before the wedding but it all came together perfectly! They are such a fun couple. They really incorporated themselves into a lot of the details. My favorite was the lottery ticket favors with the stamped penny scratchers. SO cute! We also had a lot of fun with their rings on the grape vines. We may be single handedly responsible for ruining Wolf Mountain’s wine for this year but we sure did get some great shots!

This picture is a perfect description of Suzanne and Todd’s personalities!

Amanda and Jeff got married 6.16.2007 at Chateau Elan. I love weddings at Chateau Elan! Unfortunately, the vines were pretty bare because of the weather… but that didn’t stop us from using them! The flowers at their wedding were AMAZING. They really decorated the atrium so beautifully. I had to add a few extra than I normally do just so you could see the flowers.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love bulldogs. (Not because of UGA… I didn’t go there While we were doing the photos of Amanda and Jeff after the ceremony it came up in conversation that when they got back from their honeymoon they were adopting a child… a little baby girl bulldog named Lucy. I made them promise they would bring her to our meeting when we gave back their pictures… and they did! So the last photo I added because I Love Lucy.

And what’s a wedding without the Thriller dance… really?

Ok… so I know I’ve been slacking but we’ve been really busy trying to get everyone’s pictures edited! I’m going back a few weeks with these next few blogs so forgive me…

Merrie Beth and I went to school together way back in the day. In fact, we were in the same 5th grade “Program Challenge” class where her dad (an architect) taught us how to make our own blueprints. That’s pretty much the only thing I remember from 5th grade.

Merrie Beth and Ruben were married 6.9.2007 at Magnolia Hall in Social Circle. This was the first time we had ever done a wedding at this venue and I’m really glad we got the chance! Beautiful house with beautiful gardens made it very easy to find good places for photos. Merrie Beth is so much fun and it really comes out in the pictures. She didn’t stop smiling all day!

I’m really glad I got the chance to photograph such an old friend’s wedding. Merrie Beth and Ruben… thanks again for letting us be a part of your special day!! Here are some of my favorites…
