It's quite an honor when someone asks me to photograph their wedding. I know, from personal experience, about all of the planning, stress and attention to detail that culminates in a single day that comes and goes in what seems like an instant. Sharing in that day and capturing it so it can be remembered is, in my opinion, the best job in the world.

I enjoy wedding photography because of the people. Instead of taking a "hands off" approach, I love interacting with a couple - especially on their wedding day. Talking with them, joking around and making them feel comfortable gives me the chance to capture the true inner person and evoke a natural, pure joy that might otherwise have been missed.

Few things in life have more sentimental value than a couple's wedding album. Those photographs and memories are the story of their day, and will be passed down for generations. My background as a photojournalist gives me a unique perspective in storytelling, and being inspired by the most important day of a couple's life seems to me to be the perfect "marriage" of my passions. What we do is so much more than taking pictures - it is freezing a moment in time forever.
